Thanks so much for such high praise, Jack, I’m humbled! I’ll also have to check out Valis (I really enjoy Philip K. Dick, and I’m fascinated to read some Gnostic sci-fi) and Brakke’s Great Courses lectures on Gnosticism especially!

I have skimmed Bloom’s novel but I’ll confess that I didn’t give it much attention, as he was somewhat sheepish about it himself (in one interview he said he didn’t regret writing it but he did regret publishing it). I’m sure it’s fascinating though!
